Golf; Winter sports
The biggest attraction in Mladé Buky is the 9-hole golf course which is beautifully situated and well-maintained. Other facilities in the area include outdoor swimming pools in Mladé Buky and Trutnov (with a large water slide). In důl Cerny (10 km) you can try para-sailing. In Spindlerův Mlýn you can go on the summer toboggan - a great experience! Next, there is the Monkey Park where, via cables, you can swing from tree to tree like Tarzan, or traverse a ravine by cable car. For anglers there are plenty of opportunities afforded by the numerous rivers and lakes in the area (you can get an fishing license in Trutnov). Golf, swimming, hiking, mountain biking - it's all possible in the immediate vicinity. Particularly attractive to young people is the open-air festival in Trutnov, a rock event comparable to Woodstock (in August). There are plenty of attractions nearby: in Harrachov there is a glazier's workshop and glass museum; the caves of Boskov (60km); and the village of Kuks (20 km) known for its baroque palace. There are many other nice places in the area which are certainly worth a visit. Mladé Buky has no real center but there is Trutnov nearby with its nice terraces. There are also numerous restaurants in the area which offer quality meals at surprisingly low prices. Trutnov, Cerný důl, Rudník (12 km) and Mladé Buky also have very good restaurants. A successful holiday is guaranteed!
