In the City; On an island; Near water
The center of Villasimius is located only 800 meters from the holiday complex. Here you will find a highly-equipped tourist port, banks, post office, supermarkets, shops, pharmacies, restaurants, cafes, bar's and pizzerias. The port and airport of the capital (Cagliari) are located only 50 km away. After Sicily, Sardinia is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, but has not yet been discovered by tourists. Strange that an island with so much sun, so much natural beauty and with a unique culture has remained undiscovered by tourists for so long. The island has almost 2000 km of fine sandy beaches which are interspersed by wild cliffs, small bays, rocky coasts and shell and pebble beaches. The island is almost completely covered by mountains, while the interior is covered with dense forests. Sardinia is ideal to explore by car. If you visit the bays, where small dunes are interspersed with pebbles of green and blue, you will find that the crystal clear water often changes color. These colors will show you more of the island! The prehistoric period in Sardinia is characterized by the typical stone buildings that Nuraghi mentioned. There are about 7000 of these structures, more or less complex. The most well-known complex is that of Barumini, in the province of Cagliari. The Nuraghi strains are from the period 1800 to 250 BC. Old traditions are deep-rooted in Catholicism, but with traces of much older religions, expressed in countless festivals, sometimes based on the close relationship between man and nature. Throughout the year on the island you can find festivals and events. These celebrations are colorful and are accompanied by great music and costumes and have a religious background which is a blend of the holy and profane.
