Winter sports; In the mountains; Among nature
Within the Resort there is plenty to do such as playing badminton, tennis, volleyball, basketball, bowls or table tennis. You can even throw a frisbee. The English, Dutch and Czech-speaking reception staff can assist you in the rental of sports equipment and bicycles as well as provide you with information and maps if you would like to spend a day walking/hiking. In the Beskydy Mountains you will find yourself among in the largest protected landscape of the Czech Republic. Within its borders lie 7 national parks, 20 natural wildlife parks, 1 national natural monument and 22 natural monuments. For hikers and cyclists, this is a virtual paradise! Additional sports: play golf at one of the 6 golf courses (from 9 to 36 holes; lessons possible), go flying, tobogganing, paragliding, skydiving, ice skating (!), target shooting or swimming in the indoor or outdoor pools and aqua parks. Places to visit include: the ridge of Radhošť (1129 m) with its original wooden houses of typical folk style and the image of the pagan god "Radegast". The tourist town of Rožnov (13 km) is famous for its unique open-air museum showing how people lived and worked in the past. There are also many folklore festivals here. Of course do not forget: Velké Karlovice (22 km) with its cultural monuments; historic Frenštát (24 km) known as "the cradle" of hiking; Valašské Meziříčí (27 km), with two castles; Koprivnice (38 km) with the Tatra automobile factory and museum; the extraordinary and beautiful tourist town of Štramberk (38 km); and finally, the city of Nový Jičín with a monument square surrounded by galleries with numerous shops. In the Beskydy Mountains life can truly be lived!
