In the City; In the mountains; Among nature
Only 30 minutes from the accommodation lies the Mt. Etna volcano. At an altitude of approximately 3345 meters it is the highest volcano in Europe. Even in winter, the volcano has its charm. The snowy slopes create a beautiful picture and offer a unique skiing experience. Here you can practice great winter sports like skiing, cross-country skiing, Nordic skiing and snowboarding. One of the biggest events in the region is organized in October. This is the `Ottobrata Zafferanese' celebrated every Sunday in October. This is an event where music, art, culture and culinary products such as chestnuts, lemons, oranges, eucalyptus, delicious cannoli with ricotta and almond paste are gathered together in a cozy and warm atmosphere. The area around Mount Etna is also known for its vineyards and olive groves. You can take (organized) walks along the flanks of the giant Etna volcano. Because of its favorable location, the villa makes an ideal starting point for exploring the mountains and seaside. You can also go by car to the La Sapienza mountain (1,900 meters). On special roads or using lifts and ski lifts you can reach an altitude of 3000 meters. Fine sandy beaches can be found in Giardini di Naxos (28km) and Catania (Playa, 30km).
