Holiday Park; Among nature
The estate dates from the 15th century and is situated in the countryside just 45 minutes from Siena (45km), which is famous for its "Palio". The Palio of Siena is a horse race which has been held in the center of Siena since 1287. The Palio is held 2 times a year: June 29th (preparations) to July 2nd (horse race) and August 13th (preparations) until August 16th (horse race). From your accommodation you can take excursions to many villages and historic sites in the area like the old town of Arezzo where major relics from the Etruscan and Roman eras have been well preserved. The narrow streets, gates, courtyards and trattorias give the town a typical Italian atmosphere. Perugia is situated at a distance of 95 km. Its labyrinth of streets and alleys plus numerous monuments attract numerous visitors each year. Cortona (57km) is a beautiful medieval town of Etruscan origin. It was established upon one of the oldest hills of Tuscany and its rich relief of streets makes it one of the most fascinating cities in Tuscany. Here you can find numerous museums, antique shops, restaurants and cafes. The city is also known worldwide because it served as a backdrop for several scenes in the Oscar-nominated film "La vita è bella" by Roberto Benigni. For the 'shop-a-holic' a visit to the Valdichiana Outlet Village (approx. 30 km) is an absolute must! This was the first outlet village built in Tuscany. A real Tuscan village complete with squares, streets, arcades, cafes and bridges. In the center, Piazza Maggiore (Square), people meet to talk, drink coffee and go shopping.
