The open-air spa is part of a park of 30 hectares. It is open between the 1st of May and the 30th of September each year. Each and every one of the 13 pools, which include swimming pools, wave pools, adventure pools, effervescent pools and children's pools, are quite popular and are sure to provide entertainment for every age group. The little ones will love the toys and statuettes in the children's pools - hippopotamuses, seals and turtles. The most popular feature of the spa is its Mediterranean beach lined with palm trees. A pirate ship and lighthouse provide an unforgettable sight on the shore of the crystal clear waters of the giant pool. In the sports center of the spa, beach volleyball, beach football, streetball, football-tennis and tennis courts are at the disposal of the guests. There are several catering establishments and restaurants inside the open air spa too. These serve local specialties as well as European cuisine. The aqua park, which was the first adventure pool in Hungary, was built in 2000 and is located inside the open-air spa. Starting from 12 meter high towers there are 9 kinds of giant water slides (a four-lane racing slide, kamikaze slide, hydro-slide, black hole, crazy river, giant slide, Niagara, big hole and twister). The total length of the slides is more than a kilometer. Children will be amused by the mini slides, the life-like elephants and the water castles of the pools, as well as the wooden playground. For those who favor a more tranquil adventure, we suggest trying the drifting stream. The aqua park is located inside the open-air spa so it requires an extra ticket to enter. The indoor medicinal bath is open year round between 7am and 7pm. In addition to the 3 thermal pools inside the hall, there are 4 open thermal adventure pools. There are more than 40 kinds of treatment available which are based upon the tested and qualified medicinal waters. These can be enjoyed by guests under physician's supervision. Among the treatments we must mention the weight bath, several kinds of massages, mud treatments, underwater jet massages, therapeutic gymnastics, inhalation treatments and a whole range of soft-laser, electro-, magnetho-, and light therapies. Because of the iodine, bromine and salt content of Hajdúszoboszló's water, it is beneficial in relieving a variety of diseases.
