Holiday Park; Among nature; Near water
Wine and cheese are almost always the specialty in France. The Bitche region is no exception to the rule, with the Tomme de Bitche and Moselle wines. But the Moselle, because of its close proximity to Germany and Alsace, has many other culinary treasures such as gingerbread and flamenkuche. These specialties are offered at the restaurant. Furthermore, the restaurant offers local specialties like sauerkraut and 'chicken in Riesling', plus you can get fresh bakery products, a la carte meals, take-away meals (during school holidays) and a food ticket including a daily menu. Therefore you need a reservation in advance! The resort also offers: swimming in the pond that borders the Hasselfurth VVF Villages Bitche and in a covered, heated and supervised swimming pool just 2 km away, and hikes in the Parc Naturel Régional des Vosges du Nord. For your recreation, the resort of Bitche has a library, TV lounge, table tennis, volleyball and badminton courts, a playground for children, mountain bike rentals, bike trails and boat rental.
Of course during your stay in Moselle do not miss the Citadel and the Garden of Peace. The citadel was built by Vauban during the seventeenth century and was one of the hot spots of resistance during the War of 1870. You should also not miss: the ceramics of Sarreguemines; the Land of Glass and Crystal; Eschwiller windmill; the Maginot Line with its forts of Casso and Simserhof; the inclined plane of Saint-Louis-Arzviller; and the tourist objective La Petite Pierre. Other activities include: climbing, a challenge course, tennis, hiking, horseback riding and the 27-hole golf course of Bitche. Finally, there is entertainment in the form of a mini-club for children, a club for teenagers and organized activities for adults and families. Relaxation, fun and entertainment all in one place!
