Lake Garda is one of the most famous lakes in Italy and is the largest in northern Italy. It has a picturesque landscape of oleander, lemon and cypress trees plus lots of deep blue water. There are 7 small islands in the lake. The northern part of the lake is especially popular with hikers and windsurfers. The coast between Riva and Gargano consists of steep, sometimes vertical cliffs rising up from the lake. The southern part of the lake looks totally different. Here the landscape is quite flat. The old towns that are situated along the shore are really typical of this region. Their narrow streets and charming cafes are an attraction for many tourists. The friendliness of the residents and the loveliness of the towns are a perfect compliment to a wonderful and successful holiday. What’s more, here you will find a sunny and mild climate!
