The natural beauty of Romania is best discovered by walking or on horseback, in the immediate vicinity or further away. There are also many natural, historic and tourist attractions (landmarks, castles and churches) that are worth a visit. Upon request, guides can be arranged. To discover something of the country of Romania, a car is essential. Cars can be rented via the resort. - Just some of the possible routes: One route goes past Baile Homorod, a popular holiday resort with an abundance of water and the catholic pilgrimage site of Sumuleu which has in the center a statue of a woman dressed as in Sun soap advertisement. - Another route leads from Red Lake to Bicaz, along one of the most beautiful lakes in the area. You will encounter a flooded forest, which is quite rare. Walking through one pass of the Eastern Carpathians you will see cliffs 200-300 meters high. - The route from Tusnad to St Anne offers a lot. For example, the famous city of Tusnad with its spas and the only large crater lake in Europe, St. Anne which has a very special flora. Here you will find 20 kinds of moss and some of the rarest plants. - Another route goes past the tomb and memorial house of Tamasi Aron in Lupeni; Corund, with its pottery market; Praid with its salt mines; and Sovata where you will find Bear Lake. - Other tours take you to the Harghita Madaras mountain range where you can find numerous minerals; Brasov (Kronstadt or Transylvania) with charred Gothic Black Church, whose interior walls are adorned with rich Turkish rugs, and the mountains of Fagaras, with more than 40 glacial lakes at an altitude of 2282 meters and higher. - The possibilities in Romania are practically endless!
