You can rent a motorboat and take interesting excursions to places like Giethoorn (the Venice of the North), De Wetering, Blokzijl, Ossenzijl, Steenwijk and Meppel. You can also bring your own boat. From the terrace you can relax and admire the passing boats.</p>
<p>The Water Butterfly is just a stone's throw from picturesque villages like Giethoorn, Blokzijl, De Wetering, Steenwijk, Vollenhove and St. Jansklooster. You can visit these places by bike or car.</p>
