At the beach
The charming traditional town of Benissa is situated in the northern part of Alicante province and is one of the oldest municipalities on the Costa Blanca. The unique little town awaits its visitors with sandy beaches, clear water, high mountains, wide valleys, wine orchards and tasty local dishes. Be amazed by the 4 km of coastline connecting the towns of Moraira and Calpe. Here you will find rustic little bays and fine sandy beaches like the best known beach of Fustera, awarded the Blue Flag designation for having excellent facilities for children. This is the ideal place for various water sports, such as windsurfing and sailing. Other stunning beaches are Cala Pinets, L’Advocat and Baladrar. If you are a fan of water sports, “Les Bassetes” nautical club offers everything you could wish for: 80 moorings for boats up to 8 meters, a sailing school and a professional diving center. Here you will also find opportunities for kayaking, windsurfing, catamaran sailing and fishing. If you are more interested in sports such as rock climbing, hiking and horseback riding, the rugged landscape of Benissa offers ideal conditions. A stroll through the town will lead you through the historic center with its plaza, narrow streets and churches. Stop for lunch at a local pub in the historic district and try the famous Benissa-style sausages with a cold pint or a glass of good wine. It is impossible to be bored in Benissa!
