The Jizera mountains have a rich history and lots of natural beauty, making them an ideal place for hiking, cycling and car trips. Sports lovers will have a whale of a time in this area as well. For swimming enthusiasts, there is a large reservoir plus an indoor pool in Jablonec. The modern Babylon subtropical swimming paradise is located in Liberec and contains large water slides, a funnel, whirlpools, solariums and a sauna. In the Bohemian Paradise and the Giant Mountains you can go mountain climbing, abseiling and white-water rafting. There are several golf courses nearby as well. The area is ideal for mountain biking. Altogether, optimal conditions for a sporting holiday. Liberec is a city with more than 100,000 inhabitants and many (large and small) boutiques and shopping malls. Get to know the Czech cuisine, or simply visit MacDonalds. The zoo in Liberec is highly recommended. For a few euros you can see a variety of exotic animals, including a pair of rare white tigers. The Botanical Gardens are also worth visiting. The Giant Mountains and Bohemian Paradise are a must. Scattered on the mountains, you can see cozy Czech villages and towns that have been well-preserved over the years. Each village has its own charm and attractions. The Giant Mountains are special thanks to the difference in heights and the network of marked trails and roads which pass along tourist centers and along the ridges and peaks. The Bohemian Paradise is a natural area with jagged sandstone cliffs with heights of up to 70 meters. The gateways of Jičín and Turnov are also fun to visit.
