The main attractions in Rokytnice are St.Michael's church and the beautiful town hall. Both Dolni namesti (the Lower Square) and Horní námestí (Upper Square) are vibrant with their shops, restaurants and other amenities. The historic mountain property of Dvoracky is located near Rokytnice where the river Hutský pours down a 50-meter-long waterfall. There is a dense network of hiking trails that will take you along practically all the top holiday attractions. There is a 40-mile scenic road, "Krkonoše Magistrale", which goes over the peaks of the Giant Mountains. You will see beautiful wooden hostels painted in bright colors, some decorated with beautiful carvings. The Museum of Paseky (11 km) displays wooden musical instruments from the Giant Mountains. In Vysoké nad Jizerou (11 km) there is a museum dedicated to the first ski club in central Europe. The town of Harrachov(16 km) has a glass museum, a historic cog railway, numerous sports opportunities, and a waterfall nearby in the Mumlava (Mumlavský vodopad). You can drive along the river Labe(Elbe) to Spindleruv Mlyn (40 km) where you'll find a special attraction: a 4 km-long summer toboggan run. In Vrchlabi (High Elbe, 26 km) there are superb traditional wooden folk houses and a baroque castle. There is also a zoo. The city of Liberec (45 km) has sites such as 17th century wooden houses, St. Anthony's church and the town hall, which is a copy of the town hall in Vienna. 300 meters away from the house you'll find several restaurants where you can end the day with a delicious but inexpensive meal!
