Romantic; Among nature; Near water
In the middle of nowhere and yet within easy reach of many amenities. These are the keywords that reflect the location of this house. Surrounded by nature and yet only 400 meters from the warmest lake in the Czech Republic, complete with sandy beaches, various sports and leisure facilities for children and adults, a bar and a shop. The forests in the area are highly appreciated by those who love hiking and mushroom picking. The whole area invites you for cycling trips. Vranov nad Dyjí (16 km) has a magnificent castle of unrivaled elegance, situated high up on a rock. Sites include the drowned village of Bítov (14 km) that disappeared completely under the water as a result of the construction of the reservoir. Only the castle remained . In this border area with Austria you'll find a series of fortresses. Just outside the town of Bítov the beautiful sprawling ruins of the Gothic castle can be found that can be visited during the summer months (you've got to see the 51 preserved dogs of the castle!).
In Uherčice (26 km) there is a beautiful Renaissance chateau with an English park where folk festivals are organized. You can taste the Czech atmosphere in Znojmo (27 km) with its historical churches, monasteries, castles and underground cellar complex. During the wine festival in the first weekend of September, Znojmo turns into a large open-air theater. Also a trip to the wine region around Mikulov (85 km), or a visit to the second city of the Czech Republic, Brno (95 km), is definitely worthwhile. One step over the border brings you to the Austrian Drosendorf. Or what about a day in Vienna, which is only 115 km away?
