Holiday Park; Among nature; Near water
The island of Tholen is a very special island with all its picturesque towns and villages. Many flowered dikes and narrow polder roads make the area interesting for cyclist and hikers. The 40km long [at least] dike protects the inland from incoming water. The Oosterschelde is much loved by fishermen and water sportsmen. Today Tholen can be accessed from all sides. The island of St. Philipsland is connected to Schouwen-Duiveland by the Philips dam and Tholen by the Oister dam to Zuid-Beveland. Three bridges connect Tholen and St Philipsland to the province of Noord-Brabant. Recreational possibilities for water sportsmen abound. Diving, surfing, sailing and yachting are popular here. But of course you can also dream away the day on one of the beaches. Nature lovers, cyclists and those looking for a little peace and quiet are at the right spot on one of the most beautiful islands of Zeeland. Other North Sea beaches as well as cities like Antwerp, Brugge and Breda and the villages of the Ziekikzee are also easily accessible.
