Holiday Park; In the mountains
The surroundings of Domaine du Bonsoy is beautiful and perfect for walkers, cyclists and water sporters. The villages of Dinant in Belgium and Givet in France are definitely worth a visit .
Dinant, on the banks of the Meuse, was formerly at the important trade route from Cologne to Paris, where once the famous musical instrument maker Adolphe Sax was born. Sites are, inter alia:
- The Citadel of Dinant, which can be reached by a funicular
- The borough Bouvignes-sur-Meuse with its Gothic St. Lambertus, the Spanish House, the remains of the medieval city walls, and the ruins of a castle which a legend is connected
- The Bayard Rock, which is basically a rocky outcrop in the form of a huge menhir
- The accessible cave of 'La Merveilleuse' with many rooms full of stalagmites and stalactites, and which was a shelter to the people of Dinant during World War II .
Givet, a small French town, is situated at the point where the Meuse enters Belgium.
