Holiday Park; Among nature; Near water
The landscape with a flowered coast has inspired many impressionists such as Claude Monet, Eugène Boudin and Raoul Dufy and it is therefore not surprising that Honfleur is known as an art city. The city is well preserved and its architectural history dates back to the Middle Ages (streets, churches, gardens and a unique old pond). It is a lively city with many festivals (Jazz, laughter festival, Russian film etc.). The guided tours of the city are held in different themes around the holidays (Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween and Christmas). Deauville and Trouville are a short distance away and offer a large amount of sports and cultural opportunities such as; casino, aquarium and horse racing. Le Pays d'Auge, Lisieux and Livarot are picturesque villages with an environment that is ideal for walking and cycling. Recreation opportunities around Honfleur include, parachuting, golfing, the village of Deauville St Gatien, the birth house of the composer Erik Satie, midget golf, marine museum, tropical garden and butterfly garden Naturospace, small tourist train, a skateboard park and sea excursions. Beach nearby is the beach of Butin with all necessary facilities; free parking, showers, changing rooms, equipment hire and a playground. The water quality is very good here and is designated with category A and is checked regularly. The "seahorse" chairs are free for people with disabilities. The beach Vasouy is in line with the beach road towards Trouville and is suitable for the people who want to get away from mass tourism.
