At the beach
Your holiday destination is situated south of the Island of Ré, opposite the town of Rochefort-sur-Mer, on the Island of Oléron, the largest French Island on the Atlantic coast. It has numerous advantages: a sunny climate, beaches, forests and marshes with their exceptional flora and fauna plus many leisure facilities.
A little corner of paradise to be explored on foot, by bike or on horse back. Stop off at one of the charming little fishing villages where you can taste the famous oysters or other seafood for which the region is famous.
Saint Trojan beaches: the Small Beach - sheltered sandy beach on the east side of the island, an ideal beach for children; the Large Beach - situated on the west side, opposite the Atlantic, stretching 3 km, beyond the forest and dunes, it is one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe (nudist zone on the southern part of this beach); the beach of Gatseau - on the edge of a forest which gives way to a splendid bay, it is one of the few beaches on the Atlantic coast that is fully south-facing.
