Golf; Winter sports
The biggest attraction of Mladé Buky is the 9-hole golf course, a beautiful and well maintained location. Other activities in the area include: the natural outdoor swimming pool of Mladé Buky in Trutnov and a swimming pool with a large slide. In Černý (10 km) there is also parasailing. In Spindleruv Mlyn you can enjoy a great summer toboggan run. There was also a monkey park (climbing in the trees like Tarzan, getting from one tree to another via a cable car) and the possibility to get over a ravine with a cable car. Anglers can also have lots of fun: buy a fishing license in Trutnov and then go fishing in the rivers and lakes in the area. Golf, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, they are all possible in the nearby surroundings. Particularly attractive to young people is the annual open air festival in Trutnov; a rock event comparable to Woodstock (16-19 August 2007). Sights you can get to: in Harrachov there is a glass works and glass museum. The caves of Boskov (60 km) are also worth seeing. The village of Kuks (20 km) is known for its baroque castle. There are many nice places in the area that are worth a visit. Mladé Buky has no real center to go out in. Yet if you go to the nearby Trutnov, the market square here is surrounded by really nice terraces. There are plenty of restaurants in the area and the quality of food served here is amazing, especially considering the price. Trutnov, Cerný Dul, Rudnik (12 km) and Mladé Buky are also known for their fine restaurants. All in all you are guaranteed a successful holiday.
