Short description
This apartment close to the centre of Puerto de Alcudia offers a cosy home near the beach. Swimmers and beach lovers will find their personal paradise. The apartment with a size of 70 m2 is small but nice and ideal for couples. It has one bedroom which is furnished with two single beds and a bathroom with bathtub. The apartment is on the first floor. There is no elevator. On the 15 m2 large balcony furnished with table and chairs you can enjoy a hearty breakfast in peace. The living room is furnished with a sofa, which offers a perfect place to read or just to relax. There is air conditioning in the living room. The entire apartment has WIFI. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, cutlery, ceramic hob and a fridge. There is no coffee machine available. Pets are not allowed. The location of the apartment is perfect. All you need is walking distance: supermarkets, many restaurants, snack bars, cocktail bars, shops, taxi rank, medical centre, tobacco shops and the bus stop. The bus runs in high season every 15 minutes to the old town of Alcudia, Port de Pollensa or in other places such as Can Picafort or Palma. In Port de Alcudia you will find the right restaurant for every taste: fresh fish, excellent meat, pizza, pasta, sushi, tapas, tasty menus or typical Majorcan cuisine. If you are just a little hungry, many bars offer sandwiches, burgers and salads. On the promenade there are numerous shops: clothes, shoes, souvenir shops and small supermarkets and grocery stores, it's all there! The nearest supermarket is located on the main street of Port de Alcudia to Alcúdia Old Town. You can also find a gas station. The old town of Alcudia with small pretty cobbled streets is a “must” when you visit Mallorca. From the city wall you have a magnificent view of the sea and the town of Alcúdia. Many small bars and fine restaurants invite you for a coffee or snack. Every Tuesday and every Sunday is market day in the old town of Alcudia and the city turns into a lively place with lots of people. Do not forget to visit the Roman ruins, the Bullring and the Amphitheatre. By car or bus you can quickly and easily reach the beaches of Playa de Muro, Can Picafort , Playa de Formentor, Puerto de Pollença or the bay of Cala St. Vicente. A great idea is to do a half-day excursion to the old town of Pollença. With their tiny little church (Calvari) and the nice main square with many restaurants attracts many tourists. To visit Calvari, you have to climb 365 steps - but it is worth! The apartment is simply equipped, but it is close to the beach. If you are looking for a beach holiday in one of the most popular areas in Mallorca, you are exactly right. Make your vacation a memorable one!

At the beach; On an island; Near water
Mallorca, the largest island of the Balearic Islands, makes one think of beach resorts, but there are many other ways to enjoy both the coast and the inland - especially in autumn and winter, when the hoards of tourists are gone and the temperature is more suitable for outdoor activities. You can spend a week exploring the Tramuntana mountain range running along the west of Mallorca on foot or by bicycle. Or you can visit some of the wineries in the center of the island where you can enjoy traditional local wines. You can also visit a farm by cycling or hiking, where you can learn how to make the sobrasada or mallorquín pork sausage.
Here you'll find great places to eat. The Mallorcan chefs prepare traditional recipes adapted to the modern taste. There are six Michelin-starred restaurants on the island. This renewed enthusiasm for local cuisine is also evident in all the restaurants in Mallorca.
Even if you have been on the island several times, there is always more to discover, especially by exploring the lush inland countryside as well as the spectacular coastline.
Usually the beach holiday season begins in May and ends in October, but the island is also beautiful in spring when the almond trees are in bloom. Outside the hottest months of July and August, the Balearic Islands are perfect for active holidays, with plenty to see if you are interested in plants or birds, or if you want to discover the local culture.
While most beach resorts close in the winter months, Mallorca is an ideal location for a holiday year-round. If you want more to do than to just lie on the beach, take advantage of the low winter prices and enjoy the taste of a real life in the Balearic Islands.
