Short description
Welcome to this town house! The accommodation is just perfect for couples with or without children who love the village life and want to discover the authentic Majorca. This cozy, two-storey villa with a size of 130 m2 counts with 1 bedroom with one double bed. The bedroom is located on the 1st floor. There is a sofa bed for 2 persons extra in the living room. The bathroom comes with bath tub and is located on the ground floor. There is no air conditioning in the villa but we are pleased to supply a fan on request. You feel the welcoming and cozy-rustic atmosphere in the whole house. The living room is the right corner to read a good book, watch television (Satellite TV) or just relax. The adjoining dining area comes with a wooden table and six chairs and invites you to have a pleasant dinner with your family. The kitchen is fully equipped and counts with everything you may need during your holidays. You will find a toaster, coffee machine, oven, vitro ceramic hob, refrigerator-freezer, microwave, cutlery, glasses and plates in the kitchen. The villa also has a washing machine. There is no garage or covered parking space but you could park for free in front of the house on the street. The terrace with a size of 80 m2 is equipped with a table and four chairs. The pool is located in the building next to the house and it is shared with the neighbors, but they rarely use it. You have access to the pool area through a door that connects both plots. The chlorine pool has a size of 2.20 meters x 9 meters. There are also 2 sun loungers available. The area around Petra is particularly rural with fertile land and lots of farmers. The idyllic, rolling countryside invites you to take long strolls, to hike or to cycle and explore the beauty of this peaceful zone. You can still find lots of wind mills there. It's very romantic to walk along the small paths, passing cornfields, wind mills and old farms. On the horizon raises the "Puig de Bonany", this is with 317 meters the highest elevation of the area. From up there you can see big part of Majorca: starting with the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana through to the Bahía de Alcúdia. Furthermore, you'll find a tiny church up there. It's beautiful! Where do you want to go to the beach? From Petra is very easy to get to the northern and south-eastern beaches, in between 20 - 30 minutes driving by car you can get to lots beaches. For us the best ones are: Ses Casetes des Capellans in Can Picafort, the natural beach Son Serra de Marina, Cala Magraner, Porto Cristo, Cala Morlanda, Portocolom and much more! The village Sineu is only 10-15 minutes by car from Petra. Take the chance of going to Sineu on Wednesday, when there is the weekly market, enjoy a walk along the old town and taste one of the village's specialties: Frit mallorquí, a traditional dish made with lamb and fried potatoes, yummy! In 11 kilometers you reach the city Manacor, the native town of the tennis ace Rafa Nadal. There you will find big supermarkets, a public hospital, a wide range of restaurants and the famous Pearl Factory "Majorica" with its shop. Golf players will find the next golf course, La Reserva Rotana, in less than 30 minutes driving. There is also a nice restaurant.

Mallorca, the largest island of the Balearic Islands, makes one think of beach resorts, but there are many other ways to enjoy both the coast and the inland - especially in autumn and winter, when the hoards of tourists are gone and the temperature is more suitable for outdoor activities. You can spend a week exploring the Tramuntana mountain range running along the west of Mallorca on foot or by bicycle. Or you can visit some of the wineries in the center of the island where you can enjoy traditional local wines. You can also visit a farm by cycling or hiking, where you can learn how to make the sobrasada or mallorquín pork sausage.
Here you'll find great places to eat. The Mallorcan chefs prepare traditional recipes adapted to the modern taste. There are six Michelin-starred restaurants on the island. This renewed enthusiasm for local cuisine is also evident in all the restaurants in Mallorca.
Even if you have been on the island several times, there is always more to discover, especially by exploring the lush inland countryside as well as the spectacular coastline.
Usually the beach holiday season begins in May and ends in October, but the island is also beautiful in spring when the almond trees are in bloom. Outside the hottest months of July and August, the Balearic Islands are perfect for active holidays, with plenty to see if you are interested in plants or birds, or if you want to discover the local culture.
While most beach resorts close in the winter months, Mallorca is an ideal location for a holiday year-round. If you want more to do than to just lie on the beach, take advantage of the low winter prices and enjoy the taste of a real life in the Balearic Islands.
